A Day at the Beach and a 6 Pack

Hey family!

Awww don't worry about the cookies haha, no I haven't seen anyone get homemade ones but packaged ones would be AMAZING. :) As for particular things I'd like? Uhh....crap I always think of a million things during the week and forget to write it down! Next week I'll tell you I promise!

Okay I'll try to take some more sweet pictures of my area :) I'll send a few more pictures today so hopefully that'll suffice until I get more.

Yeah I eat...alright lol. Nah I really do eat fine it's just all the missionaries here exaggerate how bad it is just because it's fun too.

Yeahh.....right now I got too many girls to write hahahaha. It's NOT THE SHORT HAIR MOM!:[

Sweet you got a raise! Definitely a blessing :) Just look out. Usually that means a trial lies ahead. Just overcome it and even more blessings will follow! I can testify.

Tell Jen to GET IN THE CAR AND DRIVE OR I'LL SEND HER AN ANGRY E-MAIL!:[

Ouch didn't know green lasers were that expensive hahaha. Well, the only reason I wanted a green one is because they last longer, have a stronger beam, and freak the kids out here (they only have red ones that are weak). They think the laser will burn them. It's hilarious. (Messing with kids is the best part about Ghana....in a nice way of course)

Yeah lotssss of people have jobs here. Jobs are all pretty much the same as America. I don't know. A lot of people run stands on the streets just selling a single item. Honestly people never have anything to compete with, they just have to hope they are in a good location. Because things here all have a market price that no-one lowers or raises. So no matter what vendor you go to, it's all the same exact thing. A lot of people drive tro's, or are tro mates, or taxi drivers, or just work at stores, and actually most women are salon girls. There's a salon at every corner and more haha. Ghanians are obsessed with their hair!

Yeah basically 90% of shops are outdoors/only have 3 walls. And yes the yams are ginormous. We are gonna start buying them, cutting them up, boiling them, and eating them with ketchup :D

Items from my week:

-Last tuesday and wednesday was Ghana's independance day! WHOOOO!!!! It really wasn't interesting. Noone did anything cool. Oh well haha.

-Please send me more pictures! Like maybe of Tango, or Jen, or the whole family. Or my room! :D Or even local places I used to always go. I just want memories :)

-I've been working out every single day for the past 3 months and I'm not gonna lie I'm getting way stronger. Like, my muscles have only gotten a little bit bigger (it takes time!) so far, but I've doubled+5 the amount of pushups I could do when I started. Every other day I can add like 2 more pushups. And I just feel stronger! It's awesome :) Hopefully I'll be ripped when I come home hahaha. Or at least toned. My stomach though....um.....well....I guess it's gone back to normal a little bit haha. STILL WORKING ON IT! I'll get a 6 pack within a month or 2 just wait!

-Elder Slade and I decided to have a "Day in the life of a Ghana missionary" day where I just took the other camera card you guys got me and just shot sweet stuff from a full day of missionary work. I plan on sending you the card so you can get all the stuff off it and then you can send it back (with the memory cleaned out of course) and I can make ANOTHER one! :)

-Everyone is set for baptism pretty much (except Frank, he almost cut his big toe off with a cutlass weeding at his dad's house). So I'll let you know next monday who actually pulled through haha. WITH PICS!

-Today for P-day it was EPIC. So the mission paid for us to have a combined zone activity this p-day. Basically it means EVERYONE in Kumasi met to have an activity. Our activity? To go on a 2 hour tro ride to this resort at a huge lake to chill on the "beach" and play sports and eat amazing EXPENSIVE food. But yeah, we had a lot of fun today (besides the extremely sweaty and cramped tro ride) and I took pics :)

That's all guys! Hope to talk to you soon!

Love you,
Elder Gagne
