Wow a lot happened this week for you!
That's crazy about the tornadoes! Glad no deaths are reported.
And congrats to Jen on getting Scholarships! I guess I started to get lazy as my high school days were coming to an end haha. Don't worry, I won't be like that when I get back.
Glad Jen also enjoyed her Senior Ball. I know I didn't. How was the dancing at her ball? Better or worse than mine? Mine was so bad I couldn't even stay to watch...
On referring to telling Elder Gagne about our church lesson on obedience - As for following blindly, sometimes we do. Sometimes we should also seek our own guidance on directions we should take. But at the same time, Adam was commanded to offer sacrifices and when an angel came and asked him if he knew why he was doing it he said no, only that he knows he was commanded to do it. Like, Joseph Smith taught that the first sign of apostasy is to start thinking that Church Leaders have not been called by God. President Holmes has asked us to ALWAYS teach the entire discussion in 1 sitting. We don't really know why, but you can see the difference in the missionaries who are following that rule. So both sides are true. Sometimes we need to just follow blindly, but at the same time, always include God in your decisions so that you are not deceived.
