| Birthday Cake |
Haha you guys are lying I used the microwave ALL the time (hotpockets!!!!). Tomato stew is yummy. Oh of course there's more than just tomato. Its easy to make. You blend like 8 tomatoes and 1 green pepper, cook like 8 onions in a bunch of oil, and after the onions are somehow cooked you add 2 cans of tomato paste (bigger cans) and after mixing add the blended tomatoes and pepper and let it cook a while then add 2 shrimp flavored maggi cubes (like boullion) and a couple seasoning packets and then boil chicken for like 10-15 minutes and add it AND the broth to the stew. Let it boil a while longer. FINISHED. It's way good :)
For my birthday yeah I shared the 4 cakes and they loved it, and also I gave the blowers to some of the small kids in the ward and I'm saving the water balloons for a sweet P-day activity haha.
As for the ensign you guys don't have to keep sending it. We get the Liahona each month and I didn't realize it before but they are practically the same so yeah.
WHOA I hope James is okay! Glad to hear he wasn't seriously injured. Stupid cars.
Still haven't gotten Uncle Scott's package. I'll send him another letter to that address, I think I had it already but I'll check if it's the same when I get back to the apt. It might take a while for his package if it got sent to Cape because they won't be bringing stuff up from down there for a while. Eventually everything will get caught up though.
I think I'm going to pull out the money they sent today and I'll just buy lots of treats and biscuits. Maybe a couple football jerseys too :)
Yeah even though Ghanians live in one room houses, they usually have a small tv and some have video games. But not all like in America. Some people don't even have electricity. But most here do.
I'm out of pretzels! PLEASSEEEE this time send buffalo wing pretzels. Even if I got nothing BUT those pretzels that would be the BEST. But what I do NEED is envelopes. I only have 3 more. I also need garlic salt, but I think I said that one already before. By the way, the new address is:
Elder Brian gagne
Ghana Kumasi Mission
PMB KS 16333
Kumasi, Ghana
i just wanted to be sure you have the right one because some missionaries were saying that if you got the new address from the LDS site it was wrong. So just double check and let me know if it is the right one.
Just wanna say thanks for your prayers :) I'm always praying for you guys too, Enjoy the movies for FHE!
Items from my week:
-Our baptism is on saturday! We are baptizing 4:
1. Sakina
2. Sakina's younger sister Abena
3. Simon
4. Priscilla.
All 4 of them are member referalls. The church has been REALLY stressing using members lately. They said "contacting was good, but it's the old way of doing the work. The NEW and BETTER way is using members."
-I got homesick yesterday because as I took a short hour long nap after church (rain was coming) the wind sounded like the ocean and then after we went with this guy visiting from Virginia who converted in the US but wants his family here to be converted and he gave us a ride in his NICE car so I felt like I was home. AND it smelled like fall weather yesterday haha. But it's okay now. I wasn't sad or anything. I just kept thinking of home haha.
Nothing else really. We've just been teaching these people preparing them for this saturday. And then we have 3 more for the 4th of August haha! We're doing really well right now.
Well, love you guys, thanks for always sending Aaron and Jake's blogs. Talk to you next week.
-Elder Gagne
